Chances are you’ve been to a website that was created or managed by Visionary Services. Visionary Services is a team of web designers and developers housed in an East Village office that is like a small art gallery. The artwork on the walls at Visionary leans toward bright paint colors and themes focused on art in public spaces, graffiti tagging, and pop art.

Visionary President David Safris didn’t intend to start a collection when purchasing his first few art pieces but as each financial quarter ended a new artwork was hung and now he has over 40 pieces. Attendees were able to get a sneak peek at these items as well as some works that will be displayed in Urban Visionaries opening June 24th at Viaduct Gallery in The Des Moines Social Club. Some of the artists seen were Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Keith Haring, Faile, and D*Face, Swoon, and Maya Hayuk. More on these artist here >

Safris, in an effort to support and celebrate art more locally, is behind the first ever Art Week, — a collaboration of events occurring the week leading up to the Des Moines Arts Festival. The goal is to provide rich programming for each night of the week to reach across generations and across art genres.
