AIGA Iowa’s Student CMD+Z critique social is a free, fun event where you can network with professional designers and fellow design students. At each social, we have local design pros available to give you constructive feedback on whatever you’re working on. Have nothing to bring in for critiques? No problem! Stay and mingle with local creatives.

Social starts at 6 p.m. with critiques starting at 6:30 p.m. Grab a beverage and get busy making that project or portfolio the best it can be.

This month's design professional:

Chad Owen has operated a one-person design studio in downtown Des Moines for over 14 years, working directly with his clients to create business or artistic collateral for both print and web. By staying small, he has maintained close relationships with his clients, for whom he is the face (contact), hands (designer) and feet (producer).

Chad has a BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University. Clients have included The Prop House, HGTV, McAninch Corporation, Gateway Market, and Drake University Law School. You can see his work at chadowendesign.com
